Art
Everybody has an artist within them. We all create things every day of our lives, and attach meaning to the things we create in order to define our relationship with the complexities of society and culture, and to express some idea at the same time. The clothes we wear, the things we say, the food we eat, the place we live, the messages we text and write and twitter and record; we create or influence a tremendous amount of information each and every day. And our lives are full of the information created by others, from books to television, from music to art, from billboards to social networking.
We constantly receive, interpret, create, and are influenced by the expression of ourselves or of others. This is why understanding how we communicate and being able to effectively communicate are so important. If society is a great sea of information and relationships, artists are the shipbuilders and chartmakers.
At Polian Studios, art isn’t simply about what it pleasing to the senses, or even the reflection of reality. It’s about capturing a little piece of life and testing its limits; exploring its secrets; discovering what it’s really all about. It’s about exploration.
